This Body Parts Activity pack is created for children of all abilities in mind. If teaching your child body parts is a new activity for them, I highly recommend using my “Sort & Match Body Resource” firstly and when they have become more competent, understanding different body part sorting and labelling, begin using this resource.

For many children the ability to identify their body parts is difficult. The inability to point, the inability to receptively understand what is being asked of them, together with the inability to label and/or understand a body part label, impacts the child/students ability to learn about their body.

I created this resource initially for my son Jack but expanded upon the teaching methods I used to teach Jack after using the resource with his older brother Conor (10). I realised it needed to be more interactive and more accessible to children of all abilities.

Conor has a dx of autism and intellectual disability and so I had to adapt the resource’s functionality to encompass the needs and abilities of children like my son Jack but also like his older brother Conor.

Body Parts Activity resource pack is a 53 pages long and is expansive in its teaching and diversely repetitive to ensure concrete learning occurs, resultant in key generalisation as standard.

I recommend starting with the Pointer Finger/ I Spy Glasses firstly then moving on to page 1 and following the page sequence.
